Participation

For any organization to continue to operate effectively over the years it is essential that they attract and retain the interest and active participation of young people. The next generation is the lifeblood of an organization and is critical to continued viability. Our program meets this challenge.

The organizational structure of the National Medical Research Foundation provides for the establishment of youth divisions staffed and managed by teen-agers, under guidelines provided by the headquarters organization. These "youth" divisions will be a part of every state and local chapter. Teen division activities will be monitored by the appropriate state chapter and by the NMRFoundation headquarters organization. It is expected that a teen-age representative will serve on the Board of Directors for each state chapters.

All participating youth volunteers will be encouraged to develop leadership qualities and to practice high standards of integrity, responsibility and accountability. Youth will be challenged to express creative abilities and to develop entrepreneurial talents.

Become a part of the youth division

The founders agreed at the conception stage that organizational structure for the National Medical Research Foundation would include the active participation of young people. For this purpose a special youth division has been established and will be included as a part of the headquarters organization and of every state chapter.

Young people bring a different color into an organization for they are rich with ideas and creative energy. Put youth together in a room and a magnetic force fills the space. They will reach toward the new without fear of failure; the teen will change direction, when necessary, without embarrassment; the teen will be the sparkle within the center of buoyancy.

Our website brings a wonderful opportunity for all youth to share in a new and rewarding adventure! We want "young" ideas! Great ideas can come from any corner of the world - global intellect! When an idea is tossed into the pond the ripple will reach from shore to shore. Ideas can stimulate the new and refresh the tired and worn-out procedures that need change to breath fresh air into the lungs of greatness.

We have exciting overarching goals and many new innovative avenues to reach them - teen participation will help to open other avenues!
