NMRFoundation Support Groups form the underlying platform from which the mission to find treatment and cure for Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR) and Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA) is launched! Support Groups are made up of those who are, or have been, directly affected by PMR/GCA which may include spouses, relatives and friends. They have “been there” and “done that”; the only people who actually know the devastating effects, both physical and mental, that accompany PMR/GCA! From this platform of raw experience, a grass roots effort is launched through forming Support Groups throughout the Nation. NMRFoundation will establish Support Groups, nationwide, that incorporate the same procedures, have the same goals and follow the same guidelines.
