NMRFoundation is addressing a serious problem that has been neglected for many years. Both PMR and GCA were named in 1957; 135 million “fabulous fifties” and retirees are vulnerable; 1 out of 143 will be stricken; too many patients are misdiagnosed; we find little evidence that investigative research is being conducted. We invite you to become Members and join us in finding the cure for these two painful and debilitating autoimmune diseases! Our goal is to reach those “at risk” and enlist their support in raising funds to finance medical research critical to finding the cure! Please visit the new and updated website at:

NMRFoundation represents a “grass roots” effort dedicated to rectify this long standing neglect. Our goals include the following:
- Find a cure for PMR/GCA
- Find a reliable diagnostic tool
- Find treatment other than steroids or steroid related products
- Establish NMRF State Chapters and Support Groups Nationwide
- Organize Support Groups throughout the nation
- Reach “grass roots” America to disseminate information through partnering with residential communities, business; civic, military, religious; professional organizations, etc.
- Encourage talent enhancement of Youth Volunteers and the development of entrepreneurial instincts
- Expose Youth Volunteers to the world of philanthropy and to the joy of giving
- Help Youth Volunteers develop characteristics requisite for outstanding citizenship
